About me
I’m a policy and research consultant focussed on the UK’s intersecting climate, nature and social challenges.
In recent years, I’ve had the privilege to work with a wide range of clients including Nesta, the Gatsby Foundation, Ashden Climate Solutions, National Retrofit Hub, Green Alliance, a group of 11 Wildlife Trusts, Oxford University, Friends Provident Foundation, Climate Outreach, Home-Start UK, Contact and many more.
I started my career in the civil service including roles in private office, a public inquiry and major delivery programmes. I then moved into the voluntary sector as head of policy and research at NCVO, then interim head of policy at the Scouts and interim director of external affairs at the Association of Charitable Foundations. I have been a consultant from 2016 onwards, including five years’ strategy consulting with Lucent Consultancy.
I have a Sustainability and Adaptation MSc with distinction from the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales and a English BA from Oxford University.
I served as a non executive director at Charity Bank from 2020-2024 and as an advisor to its credit committee from 2017-2020. I have previously been on the board of a social enterprise and vice chair of governors at my local primary school.
In addition to policy and research, I am a confident facilitator and speaker, and have given lectures, seminars, oral evidence to select committees, briefings to ministers and media interviews.
